Prince Charles meets local Liberal Democrat MEP on his visit to European Parliament

Local Liberal Democrat Euro MP, Diana Wallis, met Prince Charles on his visit to the European Parliament in Brussels on Thursday 14th February. Prince Charles gave a speech on climate change to the European Parliament.

Diana Wallis MEP met Prince Charles in her capacity as a Vice President of the European Parliament along with fellow Yorkshire MEP and co-Vice President, Edward MacMillan-Scott MEP.

Diana Wallis said:

"Coming on the back of the European Commission's recent published proposals on how to reach the target of cutting 20% of greenhouse gases by 2020, Prince Charles's speech in the European Parliament on climate change is very timely. Given his statements on this topic in the past he had a willing audience."
